When Bev left high school she studied Economics at Macquarie University in Sydney.
When the Village Roadshow studios on the Gold Coast first opened, crews were flown from interstate to service the productions that were being made. A friend of Bev’s was offered a job in set construction and re-located to Queensland which gave Bev some inspiration.
Bev was intrigued by the Art Department, determined one day to work in one. She worked as a Construction Co-ordinator, Art Department Runner, SFX Runner before she was offered her first props buying role on a TV series ‘Animal Park’.
Bev’s next Props Buying job was on another TV show ‘The new Adventures of Skippy’ and from there she has continuously worked in the Art Department as a Props Buyer, Set Dresser and now as Set Decorator. Bev has Art Directed numerous TV Commercials.
Now an award winning Set Decorator and Art Director, Bev was extremely proud to win an Oscar for her work on the film called The Great Gatsby.
